Jeff Tovsen has had many incarnations of Tone Deaf Guitars in the past 18 years. In 1990, he started Tone Deaf out of his apartment in Anaheim California as a service oriented business specializing in tube amp modifications and custom guitar builds. His knowledge for both was acquired mostly during his time spent working with Leo Fender at G&L Guitars.

After moving to the DC area he did custom amp modifications and repairs for several DC area shops.

Now living in Oregon, he is using his years of experience specializing in custom guitar builds with the most incredible paint designs seen today. While working at Marathon Coach producing the highest quality luxury coaches in the world, he realized the need for quality custom guitars without the custom shop price and with the top level of customer service available. His position in quality assurance has taught him to create the highest quality product while providing extraordinary service to the customer.
